Andy grew
up in Northern Ireland and studied clarinet and saxophone at
Birmingham Conservatoire.
His versatility keeps him busy in a wide range of activities
outside of Saxtet as a freelance player and teacher. His performing

Andy is in great demand as a teacher. He currently is visiting
tutor of saxophone at Birmingham Conservatoire and
was recently invited along with Karen Street to join
the teaching staff at Wells
Cathedral School the internationally renowned
specialist music school. Prior to his move to Wells Andy
taught for many
years at Guildhall School of Music and Drama,
Junior Dept in

As a coach he works with
European Youth Summer Music a residential summer course and
previously with the National Youth Wind Orchestra.
